Ann Smith, Associate Attorney
Ann Smith, MA, MPA, JD is an associate attorney at Applegate Elder Law. Before practicing law, Ann spent 20 years in the nonprofit sector, both as a nonprofit operations manager and as a major gift fundraiser. Ann earned her undergraduate degree at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Master of Public Affairs and Master of Arts in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University. In 2010, Ann graduated cum laude from the Robert H. McKinney School of Law at Indiana University. While in law school, she was a member of the executive board of the Indiana Law Review.
Ann is active in the community. She currently serves on the vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church. She was president of the Historic Woodruff Place Foundation in 2016-17. Ann and her husband, David, have two school-aged children. She enjoys spending time with family and feels lucky to have her parents and her grandmother close by in Indiana. Ann’s family spends time together traveling and fixing up their American Foursquare in the historic Woodruff Place neighborhood of Indianapolis.
